Youth Music Culture The Greater Bay Area (YMCG, China) announced the appointment of Daniel Harding as its next Music Director for a five-year term beginning in 2024. Each year, Daniel will lead a symphonic programme with YMCG participants chosen from conservatories across China and overseas, performing in Guangzhou and in other cities in the Greater Bay Area.
Daniel Harding succeeds Yo-Yo Ma, the YMCG’s inaugural Artistic Director, and will work alongside Long Yu, who spearheaded the founding of the organization and still serves as Chairman of its Artistic Committee.
