British violinist Daniel Hope, 44, has been named Music Director by the New Century Chamber Orchestra in San Francisco. Until now he was the orchestra’s Artistic Partner.
Hope succeeds Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg. His five-year appointment runs through the 2022-23 season.
Earlier in March, Hope’s contract as Music Director of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra has been extended through the 2021-22 season.
