David Chan
The Apollo Orchestra Washington has announced the appointment of David Chan as the new Principal Conductor. Chan has been a guest conductor for the 2022-2023 and the 2023-2024 season. He will be officially joining the artistic team for the final performance on June 2 of music by Mahler and Hindemith.
David Chan is currently in his 24th season as concertmaster of New York’s MET Orchestra. He has also recently been named as Director of the Credo National Festival, a new orchestral institute to be held in Chicago’s Symphony Center. He previously served as Music Director of the APEX Ensemble.
