According to the Denver Post, the city of Denver is willing to demolish Boettcher Concert Hall and build an outdoor amphitheater in its place at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Since 1978 the 2,600-seat venue is hosting the concerts given by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. A previous plan was to renovate the hall. Now this may change and the orchestra is faced with a proposal to give concerts at the Opera House, an idea which the Colorado Symphony is not really keen about.
