Anlässlich des 100. Todestages von Ferruccio Busoni stellt der rumänische Pianist Victor Niocara den italienischen Komponisten als direkten Erben von Johann Sebastian Bach vor. Alle hier eingespielten Werke beziehen sich entweder auf die Musik von Johann Sebastian Bach oder auf die von Busoni selbst und führen den Hörer doch in eine komplett neue Klangwelt.
Busoni war ein absoluter Meister seines Fachs, und das beweist Nicoara in jedem Moment. Sein feingliedriges Spiel ist faszinierend, ebenso seine ausgefeilte Interpretationsweise, die gekonnt zwischen alt und neu hin und her wechselt und in den jeweiligen Bezügen der verschiedenen Komponisten immer wieder neue Farben und Ideen im Gepäck hat.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of Ferruccio Busoni, Romanian pianist Victor Niocara presents the Italian composer as the direct heir of Johann Sebastian Bach. All of the works on this CD are related either to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach or to that of Busoni himself, and yet they lead the listener into an entirely new world of sound.
Busoni was an absolute master of his craft, and Nicoara proves it every moment. His delicate playing is fascinating, as is his sophisticated interpretation, which moves deftly between the old and the new, always finding new colors and ideas in the references of the various composers.
The generous sound and the precise recording technique enhance the adventure of fully engaging with this music and this wonderful interpreter.
