Dutch label Pentatone announced today that French pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard, 59, has signed with the label. Aimard used to record for Deutsche Grammophon, yet was silent on the market for a while already.
He intends now to record key works from his repertoire, spanning three centuries and ranging from Bach to Kurtág. This new partnership will be launched next March with the release of Messiaen’s complete Catalogue d’oiseaux, a first in Aimard’s discography.
