Anne-Sophie Bertrand spielt auf diesem phantasievoll programmierten Album ein gemischtes Programm von Originalwerken und eigenen Transkriptionen, die ihr Talent auch in diesem Bereich zeigen.
Von Germaine Tailleferres Sonate über jene von Hindemith und eine Reihe interessanter Zwischenstationen bis zum Impromptu von Gabriel Fauré ist die französische Harfenistin nicht nur eine technisch herausragende Interpretin, sondern kann auch den Charakter der einzelnen Musikstücke wunderbar wirkungsvoll und suggestiv werden lassen, weil sie neben der typischer Eleganz und Raffinesse den Ausdruck maximal pflegt.
Die Tonaufnahme ist sehr natürlich, warm und reich.
On this imaginatively programmed album Anne-Sophie Bertrand plays a mixed program of original works and her own transcriptions that showcase her talent in this area as well.
From Germaine Tailleferre’s sonata to those by Hindemith and a series of interesting interludes to Gabriel Fauré’s Impromptu, the French harpist is not only a technically outstanding performer, but is also able to make the character of each piece of music wonderfully effective and evocative, as – in addition to her typical elegance and refinement – she cares for maximum expression.
The sound recording is very natural, warm and rich.
