At Manchester Crown Court double bass player John Martin, 48, was found guilty of his wife’s murder after a three-week trial. He will serve at least 17 years in prison when time already spent in jail is taken into consideration. Martin hat brutally murdered his wife Natalia Strelchenko last August in Manchester. The trial showed that je was jealous of Strelchenko’s worldwide success as concert pianist, while he was a far less successful musician.
