Mit schönem, vollem, aber fein nuanciertem Klang spielt Elena Bashkirova die Mozart-Sonate Nr. 13 KV 333. Doch das ist nur ein nettes Vorspiel vor dem Drama in der Fantasie KV 397, in dem die Pianistin den Schmerz, die Revolte und die Entschlossenheit zur Überwindung der Trauer aufregend gestaltet.
Die Fantasie KV 475 und die ebenfalls in Moll stehende 14. Sonate spielt Elena Bashkirova eher sachlich und sie versucht nicht – bei aller inneren Lebendigkeit der Interpretation und so manchem Grollen im unteren Register – die dramatischen Möglichkeiten der Musik auszuschöpfen. Das hätte Mozart ja auch nicht von der Widmungsträgerin der beiden Werke, Maria Theresa von Trattner erwartet…
In den Variationen KV Anh. 137 zeigt sich Baskirova als souveräne Interpretin mit einer sorgfältigen Beherrschung von Tempo, Ton und Textur. Das ist ein hervorragendes und oft anregendes Pianospiel!
Elena Bashkirova plays the Mozart Sonata No. 13 K. 333 with a beautiful, full but finely nuanced sound, but this is only a nice prelude before the drama in the Fantasy K. 397, in which the pianist excitingly shapes the pain, revolt and determination to overcome grief.
Elena Bashkirova plays the Fantasy K. 475 and the 14th Sonata, also in a minor key, rather matter-of-factly, and she does not attempt – for all the inner liveliness of the interpretation and many a rumble in the lower register – to exhaust the dramatic possibilities of the music. Mozart would not have expected that from the dedicatee of the two works, Maria Theresa von Trattner…
In the Variations K. Anh. 137, Baskirova shows herself to be a commanding interpreter with a careful mastery of tempo, tone and texture. This is excellent and often stimulating piano playing!
