The Opera for Peace movement has announced Albanian soprano Ermonela Jaho as a new Opera for Peace ambassador, in particular to help young performers « find their voice ».
Ermonela Jaho, soprano Jaho is recognized for her portrayals of opera characters in Baroque, bel canto, and verismo repertoire. In 2023 she was awarded the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) Artist of the Year.
She was quoted saying “I love to help young singers find their voice in the new open world. When I read the mission of Opera for Peace I found a soul companion towards our common goal.”
