The Danish orchestra Copenhagen Phil has announced that German conductor Christoph Eschenbach, 81, will be Honorary Guest Conductor from next season.Eschenbach has announced his gradual retirement as Principal Conductor of the Konzerthaus Berlin, where he will also serve as Honorary Guest Conductor in the future. He will continue to foster similar appointments with the elite international orchestras Bamberger Symphoniker, Orchestre de Paris and Scandinavia’s leading symphony orchestra in Gothenburg.
