Eun Sun Kim
Korean conductor Eun Sun Kim, 37, has been announced as Principal Guest Conductor of the Houston Grand Opera from the 2019-20 season. Eun Sun Kim studied composition and conducting in Seoul and continued her training in Stuttgart where she graduated with distinction.
Immediately after graduation she was awarded First Prize at the International Jesús López Cobos Opera Conducting Competition and worked as assistant conductor at the Teatro Real in Madrid from autumn 2008 until summer 2010. She has mainly worked in European opera houses.
