Robert Trevino
The Board of Directors of Euskadiko Orkestra, has dismissed the artistic director of the orchestra, Robert Trevino, at the head of Euskadiko Orkestra, Oriol Roch. The 41-year-old Trevino, an American, was for eight years at the helm of the Basque orchestra. In 2022, he was confirmed indefinitely as Music Director of the Basque National Orchestra. Nonetheless his contract has now been terminated.
The press release from yesterday’s meeting says: « This decision is part of a process of change of direction, closing an artistic cycle and opening the doors to a new one, which should bring new perspectives to the Euskadiko Orkestra project, so that the orchestra can continue to grow and expand its professional career. »
