Das erste Stück dieser CD, Poulencs verspielte Cellosonate, wird vom Duo Amatuni-Tchetuev mit schönen Farben gespielt. Spritzig leicht sind die schnellen Sätze, von entspannter Ruhe die Cavatina.
Pohadka von Janacek, ein Märchen mit denselben Figuren wie in Stravinskys Feuervogel, wird von den Interpreten inspiriert gespielt.
Danach spielen sie eine lebhafte, aber auch feinfühlige, beseelte Interpretation von Sergei Rachmaninovs Cellosonate op. 19.
The first piece on this CD, Poulenc’s playful Cello Sonata, is played with beautiful colors by the Duo Amatuni-Tchetuev. The fast movements are sparklingly light, the Cavatina of relaxed calm.
Pohadka by Janacek, a fairy tale with the same characters as in Stravinsky’s Firebird, is played with inspiration by the performers.
Then they play a lively, but also sensitive, soulful interpretation of Sergei Rachmaninov’s Cello Sonata op. 19.
