Der französische Pianist Jean-Nicolas Diatkine beginnt sein ganzes Chopin-Album mit der 3. Sonate. Er spielt sie melodisch und rhetorisch, er spricht eine feine Sprache, voller Nuancen, sehr raffiniert und man muss genau hinhören, um alles mitzubekommen, was er sagt.
Nicht weniger feinfühlig und interessant sind die 26 Präludien. Er spielt sie phantasievoll und sehr persönlich, mit eigenwilligen Färbungen, expressiv von schnellen Stücken zu den nachdenklichen und zum Teil bedrückten wechselnd, das alles mit spontan wirkenden Akzenten und einem guten Gespür für ausdrucksvolle Rhythmen.
Es ist bereichernd, neben den vielen Pianisten, die im Gleichschritt funktionieren, einen zu hören, der eine ganz eigene Sicht der Dinge hat und uns vor allem nicht mit Brillanz verblenden will.
