The oboist, conductor, and pedagogue François Leleux will take over for the 2025-26 season as Artistic Director of the Kammerakademie Potsdam (KAP). He succeeds Antonello Manacorda, who will remain associated with the KAP and Potsdam as honorary conductor.
The French oboist and conductor François Leleux was artistic partner of the Camerata Salzburg, Artist-in-Association at the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris and has performed as Artist-in-Residence with orchestras such as hr-Sinfonieorchester and Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, among others. As a conductor, he regularly works with important orchestras and as a soloist, he performed with renowned orchestras.
François Leleux says: « Making music with the Kammerakademie Potsdam is a joy and a fascinating challenge. The musicians are fantastic and open to new ideas. It will be an important and exciting time in my life as an artist. A feast for the ears! »
