From July 6 to 9, 2023, the 1st edition of the Concours International de Lutherie et d’Archèterie will be held in Mirecourt, the Mecca of French violin making. The program includes four days of concerts, exhibitions, conferences and quartet master classes.
The event is organized by L.A.M.E. (Luthiers Archetiers Mirecourt Événement), a non-profit association created in 2019 to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the École Nationale de Lutherie by passionate luthiers and bow makers. L.A.M.E. is committed to contemporary luthiery and bow making, and encourages collaboration between musicians, craftsmen and all those involved in cultural and musical life.
