Laurence Equilbey and Insula orchestra are launching Insula Camerata, an academy orchestra for young professional musicians playing on period instruments. The artists will be selected by an international jury at auditions in Paris, New York and two other cities in Europe. Candidates must be between 18 and 28 years old. Insula Camerata is a professional integration program designed to guide and support young artists in the early stages of their careers.
For two seasons, the thirty young recruits will have the opportunity to benefit from the mentoring of Insula orchestra’s professional musicians, and to perform alongside them or as an autonomous baroque ensemble, Insula Camerata, at La Seine Musicale (Boulogne-Billancourt) and on tour.
