A few week after the Allentown Symphony, Pennsylvania, announced the contract extension of Music Director Diane Wittry, the Garden State Philharmonic in Toms River (New Jersey) has named her as Music Director. Wittry will become the Philharmonic’s seventh Music Director and first female conductor in the orchestr’as 62-year history.
Diane Wittry is also the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Ridgewood Symphony in New Jersey (since 2015). Additionally, she is the Artistic Director for the International Cultural Exchange Program with the Sarajevo Philharmonic in Bosnia. From 2001-2010 Wittry served as Artistic Director and Conductor of the Norwalk Symphony in Connecticut.
