Die georgische Pianistin Shorena Tsintsabadze spielt ein Programm mit Musik georgischer Komponisten. Dazu gehören Kompositionen von Zakharia Paliashvili, einem der Pioniere der klassischen georgischen Musik, oder Aleksi Machavariani, der mit Khorumi einen rhythmisch sehr speziellen georgischen Kampftanz in Musik setzte.
Mit weiteren Werken, u.a. jenen von Giya, hat Shorena Tsintsabadze kurze, prägnante Miniaturen eingespielt, die von der Geschichte Georgiens zeugen.
Von Kancheli hat Tsintsabadze 22 der Light Pieces for Piano ausgewählt, einer Sammlung von insgesamt 33 reinen Klavierminiaturen, die eine Anthologie von Themen aus seinen Filmmusiken sind.
Sämtliche Stücke geben der Pianistin die Möglichkeit, die verschiedenen Stärken ihrer Kunst zu zeigen, das energische Rhythmisch-Virtuose, wie auch das Ruhig-Besinnliche, mit allen Zwischenstufen.
Ein weiterer Vorzug der Produktion ist der direkte und physisch wirkende Klavierklang in der optimal räumlichen Aufnahme von Manfred Schumacher.
Georgian pianist Shorena Tsintsabadze performs a program of music by Georgian composers. Among them are compositions by Zakharia Paliashvili, one of the pioneers of Georgian classical music, and Aleksi Machavariani, whose Khorumi is a rhythmically very special Georgian battle dance.
With other works, including those by Giya, Shorena Tsintsabadze has recorded short, concise miniatures that bear witness to the history of Georgia.
Tsintsabadze has selected 22 of Kancheli’s Light Pieces for Piano, a collection of 33 pure piano miniatures that are an anthology of themes from his film scores.
All the pieces give the pianist the opportunity to show the different strengths of her art, the energetic rhythmic virtuosity as well as the calm and contemplative, with all the stages in between.
Another advantage of the production is the direct and physical sound of the piano in Manfred Schumacher’s spatially optimized recording.
