The Mariinsky Theater is currently for several performances in Moscow. Russian media report, that on October 30, twelve of the artists were poisoned by food from their lunch boxes. Six people were hospitalized.
It is not the first time that food poisoning hit Russian musicians. In 2018 poisoning symptoms had occurred among members of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. In Moscow in 2014, about 20 musicians of the Symphony Orchestra of the Primorsky Opera from Vladivostok were admitted to hospital. They all suffered from food poisoning.
