After a back surgery due to a herniated disc, Italian conductor Gianandrea Noseda, 53, has cancelled concerts at Verbier Festival, with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Wolf Trap Festival as well as in Washington, with the Chicago Symphony at the Ravinia Festival, and at the Mostly Mozart Festival in New York. Lincoln Center announced that conductor Louis Langrée will replace Noseda leading the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra on August 4 and 5. The Verbier Festival, the National Symphony and the Chicago Symphony have not yet announced the replacing conductors.
