Gustavo Dudamel
The Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, 40, has been announced as music director of the National Opera in Paris. He will take office on August 1, for six seasons, and will keep at the same time his position as music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Dudamel will succeed Philippe Jordan, who will leave his post at the end of the season.
