Der jetzt Mitte 20-jährige aserbaidschanisch-türkische Geiger Elvin Hoxha Ganiyev legt ein Album mit den Solosonaten von Eugène Ysaÿe vor, die für jeden Geiger Herausforderungen spielerischer und interpretatorischer Art bieten.
Der erste Eindruck bestätigt sich, dass Elvin Hoxha Ganiyev souverän mit diesen Umständen umgehen kann. Er bewältigt den Kanon dieser Solosonaten mit sicherer und gelungener Ausführung. Dabei gelingt es ihm auch, den Werken mehr als nur eine technisch fordernde Seite abzugewinnen und eben auch darstellerisch seine persönliche Visitenkarte einzubringen.

Azerbaijani-Turkish violinist Elvin Hoxha Ganiyev, now in his mid-20s, was awarded the 2019 Aydın Gün Prize in Istanbul at the end of 2019. He is now presenting an album of Eugene Ysaye’s solo sonatas, which offer challenges for every violinist in terms of performance and interpretation.
The first impression confirms that Elvin Hoxha Ganiyev can handle these circumstances with aplomb. He masters the canon of these solo sonatas with a secure and successful performance. He also succeeds in giving the works more than just a technically demanding side and also in bringing his personal calling card to the performance.
