Die deutsche Flötistin Lilja Steininger, Soloflötistin der Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, und die Pianistin Erika Le Roux beschäftigen sich auf dieser SACD mit Flötenmusik zum Themenkreis des Übernatürlichen. Das Programm ist klug ausgewählt. Der Hörer lernt hier wunderbare Werke außerhalb des gängigen Repertoires kennen, die von Steininger und Le Roux mit größter Sorgfalt gespielt werden und keinen Moment der Langweile aufkommen lassen. Die Flötistin entpuppt sich als exzellente Musikerin, die es versteht, Virtuosität und Gestaltung, Klangqualität und Technik gut miteinander zu verbinden. Erika Le Roux ist eine inspirierte und rhetorische Partnerin am Klavier.
German flutist Lilja Steininger, principal flute of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, and pianist Erika Le Roux explore flute music on the theme of the supernatural on this SACD. The program is wisely chosen. The listener is introduced to wonderful works outside the usual repertoire, played lively and with the utmost care by Steininger and Le Roux. The flutist turns out to be an excellent musician who knows how to combine virtuosity and eloquence, sound quality and technique. Erika Le Roux is an inspired and rhetorical partner on the piano.
