In a new cooperation between G. Henle Publishers and Steinway & Sons, Henle is now offering new Steinway Owners credits toward purchase of any sheet music available in the Henle Library App.
The dove-blue Urtext editions of the G. Henle Verlag can be found on shelves of musicians worldwide – and for the past five years they have also been available on their tablets. In 2016, Henle became the only major classical music publisher to take a permanent and comprehensive step into the digital world, delighting its global clientele with the Henle Library App. Classical music stars such as Emanuel Ax, Igor Levit, Augustin Hadelich, Nils Mönkemeyer and Arabella Steinbacher are already staunch advocates – as well as over 30.000 professional, semi-professional and amateur instrumentalists, teachers and students of the piano and connoisseurs in the classical music world.
The presse release says: « In Steinway & Sons, Henle has found a partner who is just as committed to investing in the future of classical music: Their Steinway Spirio, which provides a self-playing mechanism as well as an extensive music library, combines their traditional handcrafted methods with the latest technology. A cooperation between the two iconic brands therefore makes perfect sense: via the Henle Library app, Henle is now offering new Steinway owners credits toward the purchase of any sheet music in its catalog of digital scores, thus allowing musicians everywhere to profit from the best of both worlds – tradition and digital innovation. Both apps – the Henle Library App and the Spirio App – are available in Apple’s App store and can be used on an iPad. »
