Henley Symphony Orchestra (England) announced that they have appointed Alexander Walker as their new Music Director and Principal Conductor. He will take up his post on 21 November.
Walker has conducted the many orchestras in the UK and abroad. He has worked at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. He has been Music Director for Ballet productions for the Finnish and Norwegian National Operas.
Walker is a professor at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and teaches conducting at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he conducts the Junior Sinfonia and Symphony Orchestras.
