The ICMA Jury held their General Assembly 2017 at the European Penderecki Center for Music in Luslawice, Poland. The Jury members decided upon the Special Awards for the coming years, set up the deadlines for the votes for the Awards 2018. One major decision was made for the audio categories.  The Best Collection category was split into two different categories. While the Best Collection category is kept for collections, there will be a new category for Assorted Programs, such as symphonies combined with concertos or chamber music.

The Jury also made further preparations for the upcoming Award Ceremony in Leipzig on 1 April 2017.
