From June 23 through July 1, the Oyster Bay Musical Festival returns to Long Island’s North Shore for 12 concerts. On the program are three names of winners of this year’s International Classical Music Awards, ICMA Classeek Award winner Marc-André Teruel, double bass, as well as pianist Maxim Lando and violinist Tassilo Probst, winners in the Chamber Music category.
This joint concert was forged at the ICMA Gala in
Wroclaw, where the Festival’s co-director, Pippa Borisy heard the winners play. She is the mother of Maxim Lando, and active as both a soloist and chamber musician, notably in a duo with her husband, clarinetist Vadim Lando. Ms. Borisy is currently the Co-Director of the Great Neck Music Conservatory on Long Island.
