The 14th edition of the prestigious InClassica International Music Festival returns to Dubai Opera in April 2025, with a special edition dedicated to marking the 55th birthday of renowned contemporary composer Alexey Shor. This iteration of InClassica promises to be a tribute to Shor’s influential works, with a focus on celebrating his contributions to classical music.
Widely recognized as one of the world’s most notable classical music festivals, InClassica will gather some of the most celebrated artists of today at Dubai’s premier venue. Attendees can expect a two-week showcase of musical brilliance, with performances featuring pieces from the baroque era to contemporary compositions, blending the past with the present.

At the heart of this edition is Alexey Shor, the Composer-in-Residence, whose long-standing relationship with the festival continues to flourish. Running from April 6th to 21st, the festival will feature a total of 16 concerts, including performances by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Franz Schubert Filharmonia (Spain). Alongside them will be 13 internationally acclaimed soloists and five esteemed conductors.
Some of the standout names include violinists Maxim Vengerov (Monaco), Daniel Lozakovich (Sweden), Giuseppe Gibboni (Italy), Gil Shaham (USA), María Dueñas (Spain) and Fumiaki Miura (Japan); violist David Aaron Carpenter (USA); pianist Mikhail Pletnev (Switzerland); French cellists Edgar Moreau and Gautier Capuçon; and conductors Lionel Bringuier (France), Andrea Battistoni (Italy), and Tomàs Grau (Spain), to mention a select few.
