Dieses thematische Album hat ein klug ausgewähltes Programm. Der Hörer lernt hier wunderbare Werke außerhalb des gängigen Repertoires kennen, die von den beiden Musikerinnen mit größter Sorgfalt gespielt werden und keinen Moment der Langweile aufkommen lassen.
Katharina Sames entpuppt sich als exzellente Solistin, die versteht, Virtuosität und Gestaltung, Klang und Technik auf ideale Weise miteinander zu verbinden. Sie lässt bezüglich der musikalischen Gestaltung kaum Wünsche offen. Mari Inoue ist eine inspirierte Partnerin am Klavier.
This thematic album has a cleverly selected program. The listener is introduced to wonderful works outside the usual repertoire, which are played by the two musicians with the utmost care. There is never a moment of boredom.
Katharina Sames proves to be an excellent soloist who knows how to combine virtuosity and interpretation, sound and technique in an ideal way. She leaves nothing to be desired in terms of musical interpretation. Mari Inoue is an inspired partner on the piano.
