The Jacksonville Symphony in Florida is clearly a booming orchestra. According to a press release, musicians signed a new five-year agreement which will let their salaries grow by 37%. The base salary for musicians, currently $38,057, will be at $52,026 at the end of the contract. At the same time, the new contract includes a growing number of musicians, from 53 to 60, and a longer season, 40 weeks up from the current 35.
