Jakub Orlinskys theatralischer Instinkt macht auch diese neue CD zu einem Hochgenuss. Dabei fokussiert das Programm diesmal Motetten, Auszüge aus Oratorien, darunter auch feierliche Musik wie Zelenkas Psalm Laetatus sum, Händels Hallelujah oder Mannas Laudati Pueri, laudate Dominum.
Für jedes Stück findet Orlinsky den passenden Ton und mischt Besinnliches und Bewegtes, Musik der Verinnerlichung und klangprächtige äußerliche Feierlichkeit auf so vieldeutige, vielschichtige Weise, dass das Ganze sehr beeindruckend wirkt.
Der Gesang ist hin und wieder auch von unvergleichlicher Schönheit, andererseits von einer fesselnden Intensität. Zur Einheit in der Vielfalt tragen auch die Instrumentalisten und die Chorsänger von Il Pomo d’Oro ihren Teil bei.
Dazu ist der Reichtum der Klangfarben von den Tontechnikern hervorragend eingefangen worden.
Jakub Orlinsky’s theatrical instinct also makes this new CD a delight. This time the program focuses on motets and excerpts from oratorios, containing also solemn music such as Zelenka’s Psalm Laetatus sum, Handel’s Hallelujah or Manna’s Laudate Pueri, laudate Dominum.
Orlinsky finds the appropriate character for each piece, mixing the contemplative and the moving, music of introversion and sonorous external solemnity in such an evocative, multifaceted way that the whole program becomes very impressive.
The singing is now and then also of incomparable beauty, on the other hand of a captivating intensity. The instrumentalists and the choristers of Il Pomo d’Oro also contribute to the unity in diversity.
In addition, the richness of the timbres has been superbly captured by the sound engineers.
