New York-born conductor Janna Hymes has been appointed as Music Director of the Carmel Symphony Orchestra near Indianapolis. She begins her duties as conductor of the 2017-18 season July 1 and has her debut performance on October 14 at the Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts.
Janna Hymes is also Music Director of the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra since 2004 and her contact runs through the 2018-19 season. She is in her ninth season as Music Director of the Maine Pro Musica Orchestra, a professional orchestra in MidCoast Maine that she founded in 2008.
