The Orchestre National de Lille has appointed American conductor Joshua Weilerstein (*1987) as Music Director, effective September 2024. He will succeed Alexandre Bloch, currently at the helm of the ONL.
After 6 years as Music Director of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Weilerstein is now Chief Conductor of the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra in Denmark.
Born in Rochester (USA) in 1987, Joshua Weilerstein also enjoys a flourishing career as a guest conductor throughout the world.
