Juan Diego Florez
The management of the Rossini Opera Festival (ROF) in Pesaro, Italy, has announced the appointment of the Austrian-Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Florez as artistic director from January 1, 2022.
The Peruvian tenor Ernesto Palacio, also a native of Peru and superintendent of the Rossini Opera Festival since 2019, recommended his compatriot for this position
The 48-year-old Florez is a regular at the Rossini Festival where he began his professional career in 1996 in Ricciardo e Zoraide and Matilde di Shabran.
