The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) today announced a two-year contract extension for Music Director Kazuki Yamada, until the end of the 2028-29 season. The 1979-born Japanese is in this position since 2023.
Yamada is also Artistic and Music Director of Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo (OPMC). He holds the post of ‘permanent conductor’ of the Japan Philharmonic.
