The Japanese conductor Kazuki Yamada (*1979) has extended his contract as artistic and musical director of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra for three more seasons until August 2024.
Artistic and Music Director of the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra since September 2016, Kazuki Yamada is also Music Director of the Yokohama Sinfonietta, Music Director of the Tokyo Philharmonic Choir, and Principal Conductor of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also Principal Guest Conductor of the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra.
