Kirill Karabits, Principal Conductor of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, received the Conductor of the Year Award of the British Royal Philharmonic Society. RPS Awards are for outstanding achievement in classical music, and recognized as the highest recognition for live classical music making in the UK.
Kirill Karabits, who just was awarded a Pizzicato Supersonic for his Naxos recording of symphonic works composed by his father, is now in his fourth season as Principal Conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and a firm favourite with BSO audiences ho have taken him to their hearts since his appointment to the BSO in 2009.
