Gitarrenwerke von Joaquin Rodrigo
Der amerikanisch-türkische Gitarrist Celil Refik Kaya setzt die Naxos-Reihe mit Joaquin Rodrigos Gitarrenwerken fort. Im Vol. 3 sind neben dem Elogio, dem Triptico und der Sonata a la espanola kleinere Werke zu hören sowie auch solche mit Flöte. Die Flötistin Marianne Gedigian fühlt sich ebenso wohl in der lyrischen Aria antigua als in der virtuoseren Serenata. Celil Refik Kayas Spiel ist stil- und ausdrucksvoll, und zeichnet sich durch ein gutes rhythmisches und farbliches Gespür aus. – American-Turkish guitarist Celil Refik Kaya continues the Naxos series with Joaquin Rodrigo’s guitar works. Vol. 3 features the Elogio, the Triptico and the Sonata a la espanola, as well as smaller works and some with flute. Flutist Marianne Gedigian obviously feels just as comfortable in the lyrical Aria antigua as in the more virtuosic Serenata. Mit seiner CD Al-Basma (Abdruck in Arabisch) zeichnet das Ensemble Canticum Novum ein Bild mittelalterlicher Musikkultur in Andalusien, mit arabischen, sephardischen und mediterranen Einflüssen. Es sind Bilder voller Leben, Bilder des Leides, des stillen Schmerzes, Bilder auch des stillen Glücks, Bilder aus einer anderen Welt, die uns seltsam berühren. Es ist ein Programm, das weltverloren zwischen alter Musik und Weltmusik hin- und herpendelt. – With its CD Al-Basma (imprint in Arabic), the ensemble Canticum Novum draws a picture of medieval musical culture in Andalusia, with Arabic, Sephardic and Mediterranean influences. These are images full of life, images of suffering, of silent pain, images also of silent happiness, images from another world that touch us strangely. Ein Fest in Versailles
Nach den drei ersten Folgen von Ouvertüren und Zwischenaktmusiken des französischen Komponisten Daniel-François-Esprit Auber bringt Naxos nun die vierte CD mit der Mährischen Philharmonie unter Dario Salvi. Sie enthält neben Auszügen aus der bekannten Oper Fra Daviolo auch Musik aus Le Duc d’Olonne, Le Philtre, Actéon und La Fiancée du Roi de Grabe sowie der fast halbstündigen, melodisch-beschwingten Ballettmusik aus La Fête de Versailles. Die Interpretationen sind tadellos. – After the first three sets of overtures and intermezzi by French composer Daniel-François-Esprit Auber Naxos now releases the fourth CD with the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra under Dario Salvi. It includes excerpts from the well-known opera Fra Daviolo, as well as music from Le Duc d’Olonne, Le Philtre, Actéon and La Fiancée du Roi de Grabe, and the nearly half-hour of melodic, smooth ballet music from La Fête de Versailles. Niederländische Barockmusik
Holland Baroque hat zusammen mit einigen Vokalisten Klostermusik aus dem 17. Jahrhundert in Nord-Brabant aufgenommen. Die CD heißt Brabant 1653 und enthält Barockmusik, die von Judith und Tineke Steenbrink für diese CD rekonstruiert wurde. Etliche Stücke dieser geistlichen Musik stammen von Benedictus à Sancto Josepho. Und so präsentiert diese Produktion einen guten und neuen Einblick in die reiche Musikkultur der Niederlande. Die Interpretationen sind gut ausphrasiert, stilvoll und erlangen durch das feinfühlige Zusammenwirken zwischen Solisten und Ensemble, eine große Ausdruckskraft. – Holland Baroque, together with some vocalists, has recorded 17th century monastic music from North Brabant. The CD is called Brabant 1653 and contains baroque music reconstructed by Judith and Tineke Steenbrink. Several pieces of this sacred music are taken from Benedictus à Sancto Josepho. And so this production presents a good and new insight into the rich musical culture of the Netherlands. The interpretations are well phrased stylish and due to the sensitive interaction between soloists and ensemble, the get a great expressiveness. (Pentatone Classics PTC 5186 895) – ♪♪♪♪
Enttäuschend
Nach der Einspielungen der Reinecke-Transkription von Beethovens Tripelkonzert mit dem Kremer-Trio schneidet die Aufnahme mit Duccio Ceccanti, Geige, Vittorio Ceccanti, Cello, und Matteo Fossi, Klavier, im Vergleich schlecht ab. Sie ist zwar kraftvoll und vital, aber nicht sauber gespielt und in der Anlage eher unausgegoren. Daneben ist die Ersteinspielung des Klaviertrios Nr. 1 von Carl Reinecke zu hören, leider mit mangelhafter Transparenz, Intonationsproblemen und gelegentlichen Unsauberkeiten sowie nicht inspiriert genug, um Interesse zu verdienen. Dieses Trio muss also noch auf eine gute Aufnahme warten. – After the recording of the Reinecke transcription of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the Kremer Trio, the recording with Duccio Ceccanti, violin, Vittorio Ceccanti, cello, and Matteo Fossi, piano, compares poorly. It is powerful and vital, but not well played. Next to it is the premiere recording of Carl Reinecke’s Piano Trio No. 1, unfortunately with poor transparency, intonation and technical problems and also not inspired enough to merit interest. So this trio will have to wait for a good recording. (Naxos 8.573969) – ♪
