Vom Tango inspiriert
Elwira Sliwkiewicz-Cisak, Akkordeon, und Jakub Niedoborek, Gitarre, sowie das Ensemble der Silesian Chamber Players unter der Leitung von Piotr Wijatkowski spielen ein vom Tango inspiriertes Programm, Albert Hamanns Azanca-Suite, Maximo Diego Pujols Buenos Aires-Suite und Richard Gallianos Concerto Opale. So entstand ein attraktives musikalisches Porträt von drei tief in der Tangotradition verwurzelten Werken, die ausdrucksvoll und mit genuinem Feeling für das Ursprüngliche der Musik gespielt werden. Abwechslungsreiches Hornprogramm
Der spanische Hornist Adrian Diaz Martinez, Hornist im NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, hat gemeinsam mit der Pianistin Ikuko Odai ein durchaus spannendes Programm zusammengestellt, das mit Robert Schumanns Adagio & Allegro, 6 Melodien für Horn & Klavier von Charles Gounod, dem in einer Bearbeitung gespielten 2. Hornkonzert von Richard Strauss sowie Volker David Kirchners Tre Poemi auch sehr abwechslungsreich ist. Der Hornist beherrscht dieses Programm souverän und kann mit einer vollen, kraftvollen Tonqualität virtuos glänzen wie auch sehr kantabel spielen. – Together with the pianist Ikuko Odai the Spanish hornist Adrian Diaz Martinez, a member of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, has put together a thoroughly exciting and varied program, with Robert Schumann’s Adagio & Allegro op. 70 for horn & piano, 6 Melodies for Horn & Piano by Charles Gounod, the 2nd Horn Concerto by Richard Strauss played in an arrangement as well as Volker David Kirchner’s Tre Poemi. Klassische Werke mit der Panflöte
Etwas ganz Besonderes und Apartes hält Supraphon parat: ein Programm mit Stücken von Varèse (Density), Honegger (Danse de la chèvre), Debussy (Syrinx, Rêverie, Clair de lune, Passepied), Messiaen, Caplet, Bartok (Rumänische Volkstänze) und Porumbescu, gespielt von Liselotte Rokyta auf der Panflöte, einem der ältesten Musikinstrumente. Am Klavier wird die Virtuosin begleitet von Eliska Novotna. Die Panflöte sorgt für ein völlig neues Klangerlebnis und das sollte eigentlich zu ihrer Rehabilitation als ‘klassisches’ Instrument beitragen. Virtuos und einfühlsam
Alexander Gadjiev spielt ein Programm mit Werken von Nikolai Tcherepnin (Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish, 8 Stücke op. 88, Préludes op. 85 Nr. 1 & 9, 4 Préludes nostalgiques), angereichert mit einer Auswahl aus Prokofievs Visions fugitives und den Fünf Sarkasmen. Der junge Pianist wechselt stilsicher von einer Miniatur zur anderen, immer die Charaktere mit ihren Farben und Stimmungen genau erfassend. Dabei ist sein Spiel von bestechender Klarheit und im Virtuosen wie im Feinfühligen immer eloquent. – Alexander Gadjiev plays a program of works by Nikolai Tcherepnin (Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish, 8 Pieces op. 88, Préludes op. 85 No. 1 & 9, 4 Préludes nostalgiques), enriched with a selection from Prokofiev’s Visions fugitives and the Five Sarcasms. Konzerte und Lieder von Ravel
François-Xavier Roth und das Orchester Les Siècles haben zusammen mit dem Pianisten Cédric Tiberghien – er spielt auf einem Pleyel-Flügel von 1892 – sowie dem Bariton Stéphane Degout, die beiden Klavierkonzerte sowie eine Reihe von Liedern von Maurice Ravel aufgenommen. Das etwas spezielle Programm profitiert von ganz aparten Farben, wie sie eben die historischen Instrumente produzieren können. Tiberghien ist genau wie Degout brillant in diesen Aufführungen, aber letztlich ist der Farbenrausch das Hauptargument für dieses Programm. – François-Xavier Roth and the orchestra Les Siècles, together with the pianist Cédric Tiberghien – who plays on a Pleyel grand piano from 1892 – and the baritone Stéphane Degout, have recorded the two piano concertos as well as a series of songs by Maurice Ravel. The somewhat special program benefits from quite distinctive colors, just as period instruments can produce.
