Lieder auf Goethe-Texte
Ein Goethe-Projekt hat die Sopranistin Ute Ziemer zusammen mit der Pianistin Hiroko Imai bei Gramola veröffentlicht. Sie führen dabei Lieder auf u.a. von Robert Schumann, Josephine Lang, Enjott Schneider, Amy Beach, Anton Webern, Edvard Grieg, Dorothea Hofmann, Alban Berg, Giuseppe Verdi, Richard Wagner, Franz Schubert, Hugo Wolf und Richard Strauss. Es ist ein weitgestrecktes und interessantes Programm, das die Attraktivität Goethes auf die Komponisten in vielen Ländern zeigt. Ute Ziemer singt mit guter Textverständlichkeit und kann ihre Stimme mit sicherer Höhe und prägnantem unteren Register beeindruckend einsetzen. Sie wird sehr gut und ausdrucksvoll am Klavier begleitet von Hiroko Imai. – Soprano Ute Ziemer and pianist Hiroko Imai have released their Goethe Project on Gramola. They perform songs by Robert Schumann, Josephine Lang, Enjott Schneider, Amy Beach, Anton Webern, Edvard Grieg, Dorothea Hofmann, Alban Berg, Giuseppe Verdi, Richard Wagner, Franz Schubert, Hugo Wolf and Richard Strauss, among others. It is a wide-ranging and interesting program that shows the appeal of Goethe to composers in many countries. Ute Ziemer’s singing is well articulated and therefore the text comprehensibility is good. Bach auf der Geige, dem Cembalo und der Orgel
In Bachs Libro Primo wechseln sich Sonaten und Partiten ab, die alle als Ergänzung zueinander gedacht sind, aber immer in einer bestimmten Reihenfolge angeordnet sind. Guillaume Rebinguet Sudre spielt sie abwechselnd auf der Geige, dem Cembalo und der Orgel. So gelingt ihm ein abwechslungsreiches Programm auf 2 CDs, und er erweist sich auf allen drei Instrumenten als ein versierter und ausdrucksvoll musizierender Bach-Interpret. – In Bach’s Libro Primo, sonatas and partitas alternate, all meant to complement each other, but always arranged in a specific order. Guillaume Rebinguet Sudre plays them alternately on the violin, the harpsichord and the organ. Spannendes Programm für Harfe und Flöte
Das Ensemble Les Connivences Sonores besteht aus Odile Renault (Flöte) und Élodie Reibaud (Harfe). Sie spielen auf ihrer SACD Musikalische Perlen die Sonatine von Desiré-Emile Inghelbrecht, die Sonate von Lowell Liebermann, eine Arabeske von Ami Maayani, Ned Rorems Book of Hours sowie Witold Lutoslawskis 3 Fragmente für Flöte & Harfe. Das ist insbesondere wegen der modernen Stücke ein spannendes Programm, das von den beiden Interpretinnen sehr ausdrucksvoll und technisch beeindruckend gespielt wird. – The ensemble Les Connivences Sonores consists of Odile Renault (flute) and Élodie Reibaud (harp). Sigiswald, Sara und Marie Kuijken spielen ‘en famille’ ein Programm mit vier Werken von Mozart, dem Klaviertrio KV 498 (Kegelstatt), der Violinsonate KV 296, dem Duo KV 423 für Violine & Viola und der Fantasie KV 397 für Klavier. Musiziert wird sehr zupackend und mit frischen Akzenten. Das alles wirkt spontan und gefällig, aber es fällt auf, dass der mittlerweile 78-jährige Sigiswald Kuijken doch technisch nicht mehr ganz auf der Höhe ist. Doch das schwungvolle und jugendliche Musizieren macht vieles wett. – Sigiswald, Sara and Marie Kuijken play ‘en famille’ a program with four works by Mozart, the Piano Trio KV 498 Kegelstatt, the Violin Sonata KV 296, the Duo KV 423 for Violin & Viola and the Fantasy KV 397 for piano. The performances are very vital, fluid and freshly accentuated. All this is spontaneous and pleasing, but it is noticeable that the now 78-year-old Sigiswald Kuijken is no longer technically up to the mark. Hamelin mit allen Bolcom-Rags
Marc-André Hamelin spielt auf 2 CDs die gesamten Rags des 1938 geborenen amerikanischen Pianist und Komponist William Bolcom. Hamelin lässt den unterhaltsamen Stücken größte Sorgfalt angedeihen und spielt ebenso geschmackvoll wie stilsicher, fantasievoll und mit feiner Eleganz.
