Brahms-Transkriptionen
Naxos hat sämtliche Werke von Brahms in seinen Transkriptionen für zwei Klaviere oder Klavier zu vier Händen in einer Box mit 18 CDs zusammengefasst. Die Interpretationen von Silke-Thora Matthies und Christian Köhn erhielten bei den ursprünglichen Veröffentlichungen der einzelnen CDs sehr gute Kritiken, u.a. für ein Spiel mit energischem, rhythmischem Schwung und einer großen Farbpalette. Bearbeitungen symphonischer Werke für Klavier sind natürlich heute nicht mehr von jener Bedeutung, wie sie es waren, als Brahms seine Symphonien, Serenaden, Klavierkonzerte, sein Deutsches Requiem und die Ouvertüren, Quartette und Ungarische Tänze sowie noch einige andere Werke transkribierte. Und das Ohr des Musikfreunds, das die Originale kennt, wird bei aller Kraft, mit der die beiden Pianisten, Klavier agieren, die harmonische Fülle der Originalwerke vermissen. Andererseits gibt es viele neue Aspekte in der Musik zu entdecken. – Naxos has reunited all of Brahms’ works in his transcriptions for two pianos or piano four hands in an 18-CD box set. The interpretations by Silke-Thora Matthies and Christian Köhn received very good reviews when the individual CDs were originally released, namely for a playing with energetic, rhythmic drive and a wide range of colors. Arrangements of symphonic works for piano are, of course, no longer of the importance they were when Brahms transcribed his symphonies, serenades, piano concertos, his German Requiem, overtures, quartets and Hungarian Dances, and several others. And the ear of the music lover, who knows the originals, will miss the harmonic fullness of the original works, despite all the power with which the two pianists act. Tod, Trauer, Trost
Mit Texten von Goethe, Rilke, Tolstoi, Bonhoeffer und ukrainischen Autoren sowie Musik von Bach, Schubert, Chopin, Mozart und auch von ukrainischen Komponisten thematisieren der Palliativmediziner Boris Hait und die Pianistin Elena Margolina-Hait – geboren in Lwiw, Ukraine -Tod, Trauer und Trost literarisch und musikalisch. Durch Putins Angriffskrieg auf ihre Heimat bekam das Projekt Aktualität und Dringlichkeit. Sie nahmen die Texte und die Musik für Ars Produktion auf. Die Produktionsfirma verzichtete ebenso wie der Konzertflügel-Verleih Piano Maiwald auf Einnahmen. Finanziert wurde die CD vom Rotarier-Club Unna. Der Erlös der CD wird ukrainischen Hilfsprojekten zugutekommen. Es ist ein sehr besonderes, stimmungsvolles Programm, das in der Situation des barbarischen Russenkrieges besondere Bedeutung erlangt. – With texts by Goethe, Rilke, Tolstoy, Bonhoeffer and Ukrainian authors, as well as music by Bach, Schubert, Chopin, Mozart and also Ukrainian composers, palliative physician Boris Hait and pianist Elena Margolina-Hait – born in Lviv, Ukraine – address death, mourning and consolation in literary and musical terms. Freudiges Programm
Unter dem Titel ‘Das ist meine Freude’, hat der Tenor Georg Poplutz Liebeslieder, Jubel- und Psalmgesänge aus dem 17. Jahrhundert von Johann Rosenmüller, Claudio Monteverdi, Nicolò Corradini u. a. zusammengestellt. Zusammen mit dem Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble unter Arno Paduch besorgt er ausdrucksvolle, ansprechende Interpretationen. Die angenehm timbrierte Stimme ist leicht und warm, sehr beweglich, wie tanzend, und dem Sänger gelingt eine gute Balance zwischen Affekt und Technik. – Under the title ‘This is my joy’, tenor Georg Poplutz has compiled love songs, jubilant and psalm songs from the 17th century by Johann Rosenmüller, Claudio Monteverdi, Nicolò Corradini and others. Together with the Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble under Arno Paduch he provides expressive, appealing interpretations. Bei den Mozarts und Michael Haydn
Musik von Leopold und Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart sowie von Michael Haydn spielt das Capricornus Consort unter Henning Wiegräbe. Es sind schwungvolle, vor allem aber sehr farbige Interpretationen mit einer immer wieder Aufmerksamkeit erheischend Klanggestik. – Music by Leopold and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as well as by Michael Haydn is performed by the Capricornus Consort under Henning Wiegräbe.
