Valentin Silvestrov
Eric Rouyer and his label Le Palais des Dégustateurs have commissioned a Triptych for viola and piano from composer Valentin Silvestrov. The work will be premiered on Sunday November 17 at 2 p.m. during a concert at Salle Cortot in Paris by violist Ettore Causa and pianist Boris Berman (Exclusive booking: ericlepalais@aol.com.
The concert will also celebrate the new album dedicated to the Ukrainian composer, featuring several of his works (including the first recording of the Triptych) and Dmitri Shostakovich’s sonata op. 147.
