Randvoll gefüllt mit Liedern zu den Themen Weisheit, Frieden und Spiritualität, singt die israelische Sopranistin Shira Karmon, am Klavier begleitet von Paul Gulda. Zu ihrem Programm schreiben die beiden Künstler im Booklet: « Das Leben der Menschen als Gruppen und Völker neben- und miteinander, die Fragen nach Identität und Abgrenzung, Zusammenleben in Beziehung, in Anziehung und Symbiose, andererseits in Konflikt bis hin zu tödlichem Hass – für unser Empfinden schwingt all dies mit, wenn wir uns diesen Werken annähern. »
Mit ihrer warm leuchtenden Stimme kann Shira Karmon den Liedern eine positive Ausstrahlung geben. Sie singt engagiert, immer mit dramatischer Spannung und hat keine Probleme, die Lieder ihrer Diversität gemäß zu gestalten. Paul Gulda begleitet akkurat auf dieser im Wiener Beethoven-Saal aufgenommenen CD.
Accompanied on the piano by Paul Gulda Israeli soprano Shira Karmon sings an extensive program with songs on the themes of wisdom, peace and spirituality. The two artists write about their program in the booklet: « The life of people as groups and peoples next to and with each other, the questions of identity and demarcation, living together in relationship, in attraction and symbiosis, on the other hand in conflict up to deadly hatred – for our sensation all this resonates when we approach these works. »
With her warm voice, Shira Karmon is able to give the songs a positive aura. She sings with commitment, always with dramatic tension, and has no trouble shaping the songs according to their diversity. Paul Gulda accompanies accurately on this CD recorded in Vienna’s Beethoven Hall.
