German violinist Linus Roth announced his new project SamBach which, following the live performances and the studio recording in Rio de Janeiro in March, will be released as an album in September.
SamBach is a musical journey on which Linus Roth and the Johann Sebastian Rio orchestra reunite music by Bach with that of Heitor Villa-Lobos and Brazil’s most popular sambas, in original and virtuoso arrangements.
Two European tours of Linus Roth and Johann Sebastian Rio with the exact program of their new album are planned for summer 2024 and late spring 2025.
