Lionel Bringuier, 37, a native of Nice, has been appointed Principal Conductor of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice until the end of the 2024/2025 season. He succeeds Daniele Callegari, who has held the post since September 2021.
Bringuier was appointed as Artiste Associé with the Orchestra since the 2019/20 season. He has a long history with the ensemble, having played his very first solo as a cellist at the age of 13 and which he directed two years later for the very first time.
