The organizer of the Utrecht based Liszt Competition for pianists has announced the cancellation of the next edition in November 2020.
The press release says: « After having worked on numerous alternative scenarios and time periods, we must face the reality that it is impossible to host an international event at this time, with the ongoing travel restrictions and unpredictable local situation. We are still committed to our participants, who are the real victims of this situation. We are hopeful that we can present performances of some of them in November this year online. »
The next edition is being planned in 2022.
