The Paris based Long Thibaud Crespin Foundation has informed the candidates about the Cancellation of the singing contest 2017. Without giving further information they write: « Dear candidates, Due to unforeseen reasons we deeply regret to have to cancel the 2017 edition of our competition. All dues will be refunded in full. »
This is the second time the Foundation cancels this contest. In 2016 already it was postponed until 2017, a pause justified by the organizers as « a time necessary for the redesign of the competition ». Obviously, the redesign did not happen…
The Competition was first organized in 1943 and added the singing contest ‘Régine Crespin’ in 2010.
