Luxembourg Music Publishers, a non-profit organisation promoting composers announces that it’s catalogue will soon exceed 500 references.
Over the year LMP has been developing new strategies. The Heritage section has been developed and the organization says, it will pay tribute to the important tradition of music for wind instruments and orchestras. André Reichling, former conductor of Luxembourg’s Military Band, has joined the team as collaborator, his knowledge and experience of this kind of music being very important for LMP’s activities, a press release says.
There has been a great number of new publications, this year. Luc Grethen is the latest addition to the roster. Almost all of the composers have published new works, the most recent publication being Terra X for Percussion Duo and String Quartet by Alexander Mullenbach, chosen as set piece for the final round of the upcoming Luxembourg International Percussion 2018.
LMP and the choir organization INECC have published new choir arrangements of popular songs from Luxembourg. Beside the SATB, TTBB, etc. some arrangements have also been written for SAB to make this music more accessible for smaller choirs or ensembles. Meanwhile, this section has grown up to 65 titles.
